New Site Launch – PRE-PEN

PRE-PENWe just launched a new website for ALK’s PRE-PEN.

PRE-PEN is gaining awareness as the only FDA approved skin test for the diagnosis of penicillin allergy. As the test continues to attract new customers, the website plays a crucial role in illustrating its advantages.

While PRE-PEN’s previous website provided useful information, it failed to impart excitement nor speak directly to physicians — its customers.

The new market segment-focused website features a refreshed visual identity, and content management tools to make it simple to update for the PRE-PEN team.

Changing the world – one donation at a time

Austin Ridge World ChangersA few months back, we posted an updated micro-site for Austin Ridge’s World Changers program.  World Changers provides participants an opportunity to donate towards tangible goals and celebrate in making them a reality.  From feeding the hungry to funding a mission trip, World Changers has a host of causes for visitors to support.

Since the launch of the website, donations have increased ten times over the previous year.  The updated site has proven to be a major success for the bible church.

According to Austin Ridge, the increase in donations didn’t arise because of an added marketing push.  In fact, the marketing efforts were the same as the previous year.  The difference was how the new site shined a light on the stories and made them more real.  Each World Changers opportunity features imagery, social sharing tools, a status of funds raised, along with suggested donation levels and the real world benefits they will provide.

Starting up a new company — Gray Wolf Workflow is launched

As a start-up trying to reach time-starved business owners, Gray Wolf Workflow needed an intuitive and engaging web presence that quickly communicated their value proposition. White Lion worked closely with the Gray Wolf team to develop a corporate identity, logo, and web strategy.

Gray Wolf Workflow

After identifying the challenges of speaking to their target audience, it was decided that a deep single page site would take the best advantage of the opportunity to convert an initial unique visit. Additionally, it seemed likely that visitors were equally likely to visit from a smart phone or tablet as they might from a PC – and thus White Lion implemented a responsive design for the front-end template to provide a fluid experience no matter what platform a visitor was using.

Gray Wolf Workflow provides consulting and speaking engagement services to enable professionals and organizations to create more time in the work day while radically reducing distraction, stress and email overload.

Hello World…White Lion’s got a new site!

White Lion Responsive WebsiteWe’re proud to announce the long overdue redesign of our website — wlion.com. Like a plumber with leaky pipes, our site has been in dire need of a revamp.

After a focused effort and tireless work by our designers and development team we finally have something to roar about.

Our new site touts a responsive layout. So whether you visit us on your desktop, tablet, or smartphone — you’ll get a custom designed experience that adapts to your available viewing area.

We also built in some nifty LinkedIn api tricks for our Career applications, a Google map with a custom skin on our Contact page, and lots of fun JavaScript interactions across the site.

Being a bunch of perfectionists, we already have a whole host of phase 2 items we plan to add. So look for new exciting features in the months ahead.

Explore our new launch for Costa

Costa del Mar, a leading maker of high-performance polarized sunglasses (and one of our awesome clients), recently introduced Project GeoFish in a new Explore section of their website.

This new section highlights four fisherman, seven continents and endless adventures. And in it, Costa fans can follow the trout bums Brian, Jay, Thad and Chris on their quest for ‘unfished’ territories.

Check out these cool interactive features the White Lion team built in Explore:

  • interactive timeline with drag and drop mouse feature
  • animated maps in the timeline to show progression of their travels
  • automated scrolling feature on the bio detail pages
  • customized design for each bum’s Twitter feed
  • all imagery is served from the CDN (content delivery network) to optimize download speeds

The trout bums have trekked over 8,000 miles throughout Mexico. But, the adventure has just begun. So, check the Explore section of the site for more updates.

Next destination – Central America!

And in case you missed it, Costa was recently featured on an episode of my guilty pleasure – Shipping Wars from A&E TV.

They had a beautiful fish art piece (pictured above and made out entirely of their own sunglasses components) shipped to their headquarters.

Bump, Set, Spike!

White Lion has launched a brand new site for the Austin Sports Center – a leading provider of volleyball camps, clinics, and club activities. ASC also sells a variety of merchandise, coordinates housing for nationwide tournaments, and offers facility and equipment rental, private lessons and the list of services keeps growing. Over the years, their site was starting to look outdated. But, more importantly it had lost its effectiveness and wasn’t very efficient for staff or for their audience of parents, teens, coaches or club directors to use. Staff found the site challenging to update and support. Site visitors were frustrated because the content was stale and poorly organized.

The headaches and frustration with the old, disjointed site are now gone. With the custom built facility manager, staff can now add private events, tournaments, practices, trainings, clinics, camps, and leagues all manually through back-end administration tools. Users can request private lessons and private events through front-end forms with insight into days/times that already are booked. Additionally, each space at ASC has a terminal that shows what events are happening in that space or court. This one feature alone is a HUGE time saver for ASC not having to communicate and coordinate this information offline.

A new online registration system allows parents and players to register for more than one camp, clinic or league for multiple players at a time and view a transaction history in their profile. The program’s max registrations are tracked and automatically put players on a wait-list when the max is reached. ASC staff can login, activate the player and charge their credit card through a transaction ID all in one fell swoop as spaces open.

Their new ecommerce functionality also allows parents to log in and pay their child’s team dues throughout the year. Payments are processed and recorded on the website and exported into ASC’s QuickBooks application.

It’s a great looking site loaded with custom and scalable features all tailor made for the Austin Sports Center. WINNING!
